Elizabeth Glen trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and her career as a professional singer has taken her all around the world.

She spent 3 months of 1998 touring Europe and the USA, performing the roles of Fides and Misericordia in the "Sequentia" production of the medieval music drama "Ordo Virtutum". The tour included 3 performances at the Lincoln Center Festival, New York, and a performance for the 1998 Proms at the Royal Albert Hall, which was broadcast live on Radio 3. Reviews for this production were glowing, and Elizabeth's performance was particularly mentioned in "The Times" (London) and "Bay Windows" (Boston, USA). She also performed in the 1999 Melbourne International Festival in Australia.

Her other performing commitments recently have included work with her Early Music ensemble "The Art of Courtly Love", and staged productions in Winchester and Salisbury Cathedral of the contemporary piece for solo voice and piano "A Life Apart". During the summer of 2000, she was a soloist for the show "In Our Time" at the London Palladium, in which she sang jazz songs and "Land of Hope and Glory".

Elizabeth is the main artist on the CD of the works of the contemporary composer June Boyce-Tilman, entitled "Singing the Mystery - Hildegard Revisited" (British Music Label). She has also recorded four CDs with Sequentia: "O Jerusalem", "Voice of the Blood", "Vox Iberica 2", and the best selling "Canticles of Ecstasy" (all DHM), on which she is a soloist. "Canticles of Ecstasy" won a Gold Disc for the ensemble, and has now sold over 400,000 copies world-wide. Her CDs with Lyrica and with Brian Field are now available from this website (see CDs).

Opera roles performed include Suzanna ("Marriage of Figaro"), Minerva ("Return of Ulysses"), La Musica and La Speranza ("Orfeo"), Fortune ("Poppea"), Miss Wordsworth ("Albert Herring"), Lucia ("Rape of Lucretia") and First Witch ("Dido and Aeneas").
